RICH SOMMERS
Rich specializes in disability insurance, income protection, and financial strategies for physicians, residents, fellows, professionals, and business owners.
Rich works closely with medical professionals throughout their careers, helping them understand their coverage options, evaluate existing policies, and protect their future income. He also provides educational disability insurance presentations to residency and fellowship programs. His approach is centered on education, personalized guidance, and building long-term relationships as his clients’ careers and financial needs evolve.
Outside of work, Rich enjoys hockey, golf, and spending time with family and friends. He is also a longtime advocate and supporter of MI-UCP, a nonprofit that helps people with disabilities pursue greater independence, inclusion, and opportunity through advocacy, resources, education, employment support, and assistive services. Rich also participates annually in the MI-UCP Pucksters vs. Detroit Red Wings Alumni Game in support of MI-UCP and its mission.
